South Carolina Sales Tax Weekend 2010

It’s that time of year again that everyone, especially parents, look forward to; the back-to-school tax free weekend. The weekend of August 6–8, 2010, starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday and ending at midnight the following Sunday, customers will be able to purchase certain items exempt from sales tax. This is a blessing for parents needing to buy back-to-school items and clothing for children. The following are general examples of eligible items for purchase.

• Clothing
• Accessories
• Computer and computer equipment
• Footwear
• School supplies
